This is a site about trees
Here you will find information about significant trees in Greater Victoria, British Columbia. Significant trees include native species and exotic species that may have historical significance. Maps show locations and identify trees and will link to pages that show how to identify the species (in construction). Parks that contain important tree areas will be individually mapped with the trees identified.

This project honours the work of Chaster, G.H., Ross, D.W., and Warren, W.H. in their publication "Trees of Greater Victoria: A Heritage" (1988). It is intended to extend and update that work and make information about the trees of Victoria more easily accessible and available to a wider audience.
